Welcome to our clinic, where your ear health is our top priority! We’re Kirstin and Emma, and together we bring over 50 years of combined experience in midwifery and nursing to the table. You might be wondering, why focus on ear care? Well, let us share a bit about our journey and why we’re so passionate about what we do.
Kirstin has spent more than three decades dedicated to helping people as a midwife, nurse, and occupational nurse specialist. Emma, on the other hand, has been a midwife and nurse for over 20 years. Both of us are fully trained and insured in microsuction and ear irrigation, ensuring you receive the safest and most effective care possible. We’ve seen firsthand how important ear health is and how it can impact your overall well-being.
So why did we start our clinic? It’s simple. We noticed that many NHS GP surgeries no longer offer ear wax removal services, which left many people without access to this essential care. We wanted to fill that gap by providing a reliable and safe option for everyone. Our clinic is staffed by qualified NMC registered professionals who are committed to delivering the best care within the community.
We’re here because we care about your ear health, and we want to make sure you have access to the services you need. Whether you’re dealing with a stubborn ear wax blockage or just need a routine check-up, we’re ready to help. Let us come visit you and experience the difference that expert, compassionate care can make!
At Wiltshire Ear Wax Removal, we take your safety and care seriously, which is why we’re proud to be regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). This means you can trust that our services meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and professionalism—because your ear health deserves nothing less.

What is the CQC?
Ever wondered who keeps an eye on the quality and safety of health services in England? That’s where the Care Quality Commission (CQC) comes in. Established by the Health and Social Care Act 2008, the CQC is an independent regulator dedicated to making sure health and social care services are safe, effective, compassionate, and of high quality. They inspect and regulate a variety of services, from hospitals to care homes, to ensure they meet essential standards.
How Does CQC Work?
So, how does the CQC go about its job? First off, they perform regular inspections of health and social care services, including clinics, hospitals, and care homes. During these inspections, CQC inspectors check how well the services are doing in terms of patient safety, effectiveness, responsiveness, and overall quality of care. This way, you and your loved ones can make informed choices about where to get care. If a service doesn’t meet the required standards, the CQC can take actions like issuing warnings or even closing down the service to protect patients.
Why is CQC Important for an Ear Health Clinic?
For an ear health clinic, having CQC accreditation is a big deal. It shows that the clinic meets high standards of care and safety, which is super reassuring for patients. A good CQC rating boosts the clinic’s reputation and builds trust with patients, making them feel confident about the care they’ll receive. The CQC also helps clinics stay compliant with legal and regulatory requirements, ensuring they’re always up-to-date with the best practices in ear health care. This constant oversight means that patients can expect thorough, professional, and compassionate care every time they visit.
